albergo
Robert P. Albergo, M.D
Dr. Albergo is a suma cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at the University of Rochester. Following his internship and a year of internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester. Dr. Albergo completed a three year dermatology residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He is a member of Mensa. Additionally, he has been involved in research on atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, and food allergies. Scientific papers have been published in medical journals as a result of this research and also on the subject of psoriasis.
He is one of the founders of the Tampa Bay Area Charity Foundation 13 Ugly Men.

Dr. Albergo is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr Albergo is one of a few physicians who offers a non-painful treatment for wart removal. He applies squaric acid dibutyl ester to the warts to get the body’s own immune system to attack the warts and prevent most future wart outbreaks. This type of treatment is good for patients who have numerous or recurring warts. Using squaric acid to defeat the warts can take anywhere from 2 to 10 treatments. It is a great alternative to using the painful treatment of liquid nitrogen or burning the warts off.

Timothy R. Shaner PA-C
Mr. Shaner has a B.S. degree and is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. He maintains this certification by completing fifty hours of medical education annually.

Mr. Shaner has extensive post-graduate training in dermatology and dermatology surgery and held the position of adjunct faculty at D’Youville College Physician Assistant program in Buffalo, New York, where he lectured in dermatology related topics.

Mr. Shaner continues his teaching activities through lecturing and providing workshops throughout the country on dermatology related topics. Tim was past Editor of Dermatology Section of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has written several articles on dermatology and dermatologic surgery subjects.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physicians Assistants, and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tara Duquette PA-C
Ms Duquette has a B.S. degree in Science and Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in New York. She has been in the field of dermatology since 2000.

Tara is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She maintains the certification by completing 100 hours of medical education every two years and by passing a board examination every six years. Tara is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tara is adept in the diagnosis of skin diseases as well as surgical removal of cancers, atypical moles and benign lesions. In addition, she is experienced in Botox and Dermal Filler administration.

When Tara is not being kept busy at work, she is having many fun adventures with her two children, who keep her on her toes.

Steven Warta, MPAS, PA-C
Mr. Warta received a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He was a Regents Scholarship recipient and graduated with an Award of Academic Excellence in 1997. Steve has been practicing as a physician assistant in Florida since 1998.

He practices general dermatology as well as in-office surgical removal of skin cancers, cysts, abnormal moles and benign lesions.

Steve is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He maintains this certification by ongoing continuing medical education and passing a board exam every six years. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

An active advocate and volunteer for Greyhound Rescue, Steve enjoys spending his down time with his own retired racing greyhounds.
